I stood in front of Jack, with tears streaming down my face. He rubbed his thumb soothingly against my cheek, while his face was twisted in pain. I kept replaying his words in my head. The words that shattered my whole world, the words that would change us forever, and the words that made me numb. Sobs racked my body, but I mustered up enough strength to tell him how I felt about him.
"Everyone has their own destiny, and you are mine. I really hope I am yours because I love you! I love you with ever fiber in my body. You're the reason I smile, the reason I get out of bed every morning, the reason for everything. I can't live without you Jack. I need you like I need oxygen. You promised me no matter where I am you will always find me. How can you do that when your not here." I spoke looking at his ruggedly handsome face through my tear stained eyelashes.
He cleared his throat and held my hands. He looked down at me and gave me his crooked smile
"Violet, listen to me. I have been in love with you since the day I saw you in front of the school on the first day. The first time our eyes met, I felt sparks flow through my body. You are the love of my life. You have captured my heart. You have given me a reason to be a better man. I want to be better, stronger, and all of the above for you. You deserve the world and everything in it. You deserve to be treated like a queen. The last thing I wanted to do was hurt you, but this is what I am called to do. I love you Violet. We have something special, don't ever give up on it. I need you too baby. NO matter where I am I will always find you." Jack spoke with his voice filled with emotion.
He kissed the top of my head, with his hands on the side of my face. He placed his chin on top of my head and we stayed there. I wish time would stop. I could live in this moment forever. It was just me and him, it was perfect.
