Hi, I'm Riley. I was only 14 when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. My best friend Fiona was always there by my side. When ever I needed to talk, she was there. When I needed a shoulder to cry on, she was the one I could run to. That was, until she had to move. 

Everything went to hell  the day she moved. I needed her, and she couldn't be there. My sister Jessica, was all the way across the country with her husband in France, and my dad left us when I was only 11. 

Now I'm 15, and my mom is still fighting cancer. She looks so weak, and I can hardly stand to see her like that. Fiona still hasn't come back, and things just aren't going right. Highschool is crap, and I only have few friends. They are not the same as Fiona though. No one could ever replace her. I need you right now Fiona. She pretends she's fine, that nothing's wrong, that her smile is every bit as real as her cuts. She has people who need her, people who rely on her but she's slowly slipping away from them and they have no idea what's happening to her. You have no idea how many times I found myself waiting for Riley to come over. But he never did. "Thanks Ally." I grabbed all the flowers then ran back to the car. I drove to the grave. I threw all my stuff into my bag. I grabbed the flowers and I pulled my bag over my shoulder and got out. I looked around and saw people young and old coming here to see their loved ones. I saw my families graves. Almost my whole family will be buried here. My grandpa always said it was sacred. I put the Cosmos on my dad's grave. The Daises on my grandmothers and the Roses on my grandpas. I talked and talked to them till I pull my pack of cigarettes out of my bag along with a lighter.
