{this story is under editing, but I'll still update}

'Ponyboy can count on his brothers.
And on his friends.
But not on much else besides trouble with the Socs, a vicious gang of rich kids whose idea of a good time is beating up "greasers" like Ponyboy.
At least he knelt what to expect-until the night someone takes things too far.'

I'm assuming you've all read (or seen) "The Outsiders" (or else you wouldn't be here), well, this is basically the same story line, but it's a 'little' different.

here is an alternative ending to "The Outsiders"

{ all copyright goes to S.E. Hinton and myself, please do not copy, steal, publish, or translate this book. there are legal rights to this book and it's all S.E. Hinton and mine's ideas/characters. credit is given to S.E. Hinton for the normal story line, original characters, and plot of this book.

this will be told in each point of views from all the characters. first, will be Pony-obviously. and this book will have 50/60s slang in it, so if you're confused, there will be little definitions of each word, as they appear, throughout the story

also, this story will start up right the same as the original does, but will gradually get into the alternative portion. I will try to incorporate as much of the book as I can from that point, but most parts will be different, including the major scenes. before that will be the same. }

36 parts Complete Mature

(Under Major Editing) this story contains descriptive self-mutilation, character death, alcohol abuse, drug/substance abuse, and bits of violence. (ANYONE WHO IS UNDER 16 AND IS CURRENTLY SUICIDAL, DEALING WITH OR EXPERIENCING THOUGHTS OF SELF-HARM PLEASE JUST CHOOSE A DIFFERENT STORY. THIS ISNT A FUN RIDE) Johnny has always been different, the gang knew that. He was always doing something to be proud of but he'll forever be a greaser unless his folks actually started to care for him, and even then, he'll always be an outcast, a delinquent. Johnny doesn't mind that though, he likes it the way it is, but he mainly would just like things to be different at home, but he's content with the gang. He was okay with them. Until his father dies. His old man had always treated him like shit anyway, but there was something inside that was crushed. Dad would sometimes help little Johnny out, it was his mother that had made things worse for him. After his death, Johnny couldn't cope much anymore, he was used to being able to, but now his emotions were out of control. He starts to spiral downwards. The gang is with him the whole time and tries their hardest to keep him at his best, but Johnny becomes irrational, too unpredictable for the gang to even understand but Johnny doesn't go down alone, he brings someone with him.
