"I think I've seen her in here once or twice" Calum lied. He couldn't help but keep his muddy browns tied to her blonde hair and pale pigment that was her beautiful make up.
She came in every afternoon, some days staying longer than others. Sometimes when he would listen to the noise in the busy diner her voice would part from the rest. He didn't like to listen in on her words though. It made him feel guilty and that wasnt the way he wanted to get to know her.

"She usually orders tea I think" he lied again. Her everyday routine consisted of green tea and some sort of pastry to match. Somedays it was just the liquid alone she longed for. Later in the day he noticed she'd order chicken strips if she were truly hungry.

Calum took a quick liking to her. He also picked up fast on her boxed off personality and broken smile that was beautifully damaged. She wasn't anywhere near broken from what he picked up, but the puzzle that was her life was something he yearned to solve.
