Six months. Thorin was functioning, barely, mostly thanks to Fili and Dis helping steer him. If his mind ever wandered, it was their words that brought him back to reality. Not a word on Mara, not a pip from the Wizard, damn him! The Kingdom carried on, so so did he. But then Kili wants to see Erebor, every inch of it. And they come upon a door. A door that's never been opened by a dwarf. And quite suddenly...
"This isn't Erebor." 

Join Thorin, Fili and Kili as they race through our world in a search for a way home, but with Mara changed and a dystopian government ruling over America, can they get home before its too late? And an even bigger question has yet to be answered.

Everyone knows that Dwarf women are not the prettiest and look just like Dwarf men, but there is one dwarf that has the beauty of an Elven Queen. Her name is Dakota. Even though she is gorgeous she got picked at a lot. She was different from the other Dwarfs. They said she was a disgrace to her kind. She lived with only her mother and she had no siblings. She didn't know a lot about her father. She only knew that he was an Elf. She had never seen him. She had no contact with. She didn't know where he was or what he was doing. She didn't even know his name.... But she didn't want to know who he was. She thought he was a heartless bastard. Her mother met him at a bar and they fell in love. She got pregnant and she told the elf. He was shocked and ran away from his unborn child. Nor Dakota nor her mother knew exactly why he left. It broke her mothers heart. And when her mother told Dakota, it broke her heart too. She still found the happiness and strength to go on. Dakota's mother worked as a maid for Dís the granddaughter of the king Thror. This is how Dakota and Thorin met. Thorin is Dís' brother. They have been best friend form a very young age. They never left each other's side. Even when they got older they remained best friends. Thror and Thrain accepted her like their daughter. Dakota's life was perfect. She didn't need anything else. She was happy. But she had no idea what was about to happen....

Thorin has been protecting me since my parents died when I was just a wee bairn. I accepted him as my own father and I was proud to be called his daughter. I was raised with all the skills he would teach his own kin so when the time would come I would be able to protect myself. When Kili and Fili brought me along to Bilbo's house I became part of the company of Thorin Oakenshield.
