Next gen fic. James Sirius Potter stumbles upon something in his father’s office, a strange ancient looking basin of all things, and discovers that seeing is believing.

 He sees his father's birthdays of long ago and soon begins to wonder how his dad can still love, how the Dursleys can be so cruel, and most of all how his dad's heart can still  be beating... 

How will James react to mad house elves, horrible Aunts, threatening Uncles and taunting cousins? Flashing from one memory to another- can he handle the harsh truth?
