I debated keeping this story on here in the state it's currently written in. I wrote this almost 4 years ago when I clearly was a much less experienced writer compared to now. I'm aware and am EXTREMELY GRATEFUL for the minuscule amount of traction that it has gained here on Wattpad, but I don't fully agree with the storyline anymore. Unfortunately I don't have the time and honestly the motivation to completely redo this story in a style that I would approve of today. But because of the amount of reads and likes I shall keep it here anyways as a reminder of my first "published" long fiction piece :)
As terrible as it truly is I still hope that anyone who reads will enjoy it to some extent nonetheless!!

"Ten years ago today was the worst day of my life. On the 17th of November 2007, I lost my best friend in a hit-and-run car accident. It's been a hard ten years, living from day to day with an awful childhood tragedy at the back of my mind, but the years still crawl by agonisingly slowly. I say that, but when I think about Alice and what happened to her it barely seems like yesterday. My therapist seems to think that documenting everything I think and feel in this diary will finally help me get over her death-and who knows? Maybe he's right. Or maybe he's very wrong; in which case I suppose this diary could serve as some kind of "note"." This is really just me playing around with the diary format and exploring what would happen to the friends of someone who died young - how they would react and try to pick up their lives etc. When writing this, I picked a start date for the diary that seemed far away but it's soon crept up on me, so I had the idea of posting it on the actual dates stated in the book. I actually started writing it in 2016 but I've REALLY procrastinated with it. DISCLAIMER: this is a work of fiction. All events and characters herein are fictitious. That was true in and of its self, but Alice was more than forced to leave a bubble, she was forced to leave her planet. A drawing of terrible luck on top of terrible timing, it was something she was kinda used to, but this was a whole new level of fucked. Truth be told, Alice was a sweet girl, a kind girl. She would help anyone and tried to never judge anyone too hard, even if her gut told her otherwise. She often paid for her kindness with being used, but still it didn't change her, not until someone took more than she could handle, not until she met him and he lit a fire in her. Ending up in the last place she ever thought she would, she learns she is more than just a girl, she is a woman... HIS woman. --------------------- I will say this here and now, this story is not for children. While I do not tend for the story to sole be on smut, it will happen. It had dark themes and some things maybe be triggering. So, this is your warning. As I say, you can't have darkness without light and no light without darkness.
