Planet Niefon is a planet in peril. Three warring factions--the warlike, violent Snoneri, the arrogant Pmurts and the peaceful, elfin Niffs are constantly at odds, and it's up to beautiful red-haired Pari to control them. Part Pmurt and part Niff, Pari fits in with neither group. She hates the cruelty of the Pmurts and wishes she could be a Niff like Mail, her pan-flute playing crush. When intergalactic magnate Derfric Pmurt arrives on Niefon with plans to "save" it by destroying the land the Niffs hold so dear, Mail and Pari must find a way to unite the factions to prevent the forest of elves and trolls from being developed.
