Planet Niefon is a planet in peril. Three warring factions--the warlike, violent Snoneri, the arrogant Pmurts and the peaceful, elfin Niffs are constantly at odds, and it's up to beautiful red-haired Pari to control them. Part Pmurt and part Niff, Pari fits in with neither group. She hates the cruelty of the Pmurts and wishes she could be a Niff like Mail, her pan-flute playing crush. When intergalactic magnate Derfric Pmurt arrives on Niefon with plans to "save" it by destroying the land the Niffs hold so dear, Mail and Pari must find a way to unite the factions to prevent the forest of elves and trolls from being developed. But is Mail hiding something? Is Derfric quite as he seems? Pari needs to find out before the planet is destroyed--forever.

Prologue: Earth has found out they're not alone in the universe. An alien species have contacted Earth, giving them a chance to be protected by the aliens out there that threatens the universe. They inform them that there are in fact thousands of alien species out there. The alien race, who calls themselves Opsidians, offer Earth a chance at competing in the Games, a televised reality competition game they host. In order to win the protection, Earth will have to send a tribute to the Games. They know little to nothing about the Games or these alien species. But they are so darned different. Izalansadi is a spoiled dragon princess. Gala is a hopelessly romantic paint dragon. Cloudy is a superrare cloud dragon, and has an epic past. Hallgralla is another cloud dragon,and was missing for 8 years, and is Cloudy's childhood friend. Pinktail is a strange looking phenomenon of a Warrior kitten.
