Nico di Angelo has finally gotten his big break. After months of tirelessly working at a dumpy, small town newspaper, he gets the opportunity of a lifetime: a job offering at The New York Times, and a new life in the Big Apple. But, Nico's life isn't nearly as glamorous as he pictured, and things only get worse when a blond-haired idiot named Will Solace hits Nico with a bike. Will is charming, stubborn, and optimistic. Every characteristic Nico hates shoved into one extremely obnoxious person. Unfortunately, with no one but an editor that hates him, a drunk neighbor who makes a living by cheating in poker, and a photographer with a mysterious past, Nico realizes that Will is the closest thing to a friend he has. Reluctantly, Nico allies with Will to survive his chaotic new life in the city. But things get even worse when Nico starts to develop feelings for Will. With a rushing new world around them and a country on the brink of war, the couple will soon learn that their love can only end in disaster.

Three days in the infirmary. That's many how full days Nico will have with Will. They both want a connection between each other, but are too nervous. One of them might be planning to speak up. But everything about them is different. They are different from each other, and everybody else. What will happen in those three days? What will happen after those three days? What will happen... *dramatic pause* when disaster strikes? Will a disaster affect Nico and Will's relationship? What about when something that seems uncurable happens to Will? How can Nico and Will keep it together? Are they going to end up going their own separate ways? Or is somebody else going to try to control Will? (Dun dun duuuunnn) Unfortunately, I don't own any of these characters. If I did, that would be the best thing EVER, but I don't. They belong to Rick Riordan (That evil troll) and the amazing Nico di Angelo and Will Solace do belong to him. But I still hope you enjoy what I do with them. Nico di Angelo is finally happy. He's learning to accept himself for his sexuality and as a son of Hades. After everything horrible that has happened to him, he's slowly getting better with the help of Will and his friends. Will Solace finally got the boy of his dreams. The boy he had a crush on since he was 11 years old. He's starting to realize that he isn't as useless as he thinks he is, and that he's actually worth something. Everything is going great for a while. But just like it always is for demigods, nothing good ever lasts. The death of Nico's first and closest friend Jason Grace puts a sudden end to the sunshine that currently brightens Nico's life for once. His death triggers a lot of things for him, and shines light on a lot of his unresolved trauma. Will Nico be able to make it through this without his mental stability completely breaking once and for all? Will Nico be able to let people in enough to help him get through it? And what about the mysterious dreams that Nico keeps having of his mom? And who really is this little girl that knows nothing about her past? In this sequel to Out of the Shadows, Nico sees familiar faces and revisits past places, but at least this time he has Will along for the ride. Spoilers for basically every Percy Jackson book, including Tower of Nero. ⚠️ Trigger Warning ⚠️ death, homophobia, mental health issues that includes but not limited to PTSD and depression, heavy angst later on, brief harassment and brief physical violence (someone gets slapped once). She is getting married to Prince Will Solace and he's been invited back to his home palace to meet his soon to be brother in law. Nico agrees, for the sake of his sisters, to come home. There was a sickness that was sweeping through Oregon (that's where the story takes place) that's putting Will's father in a difficult place as a doctor. Lately, Will has been a few minutes late to class, because he was helping his dad down at the hospital. The rules had been infinitely changed, because the hospital needed sensible help and a lot of it; and Will was perfect for the job. And then Nico showed up with his sister in his arms. Little did Will know, everyone in the state of Oregon would be battling the sickness that threatened to wipe out everyone. P.S: This whole story is pretty much a trigger warning. Enjoy!
