Imagine a world where you can't lie. In lea's world, 4 out of 10 people are born with the Pinocchio syndrome. As a 12 year old, Lea is a very talkative girl and wants to become a reporter just like her mom. Unlucky for Lea, she was born with the Pinocchio syndrome in which she can't tell a lie without breaking out into violent hiccups. After her father loses his job and they both have to go take care of her grandpa, she meets Ryan, a boy with an upsetting past who has just been adopted by grandpa. Fast forward 13 years, Lea wants to pursue in the reporting business along with Ryan tagging along. But the more they are together, Lea finds herself falling for Ryan. With a top news story, the only thing that could worry Lea is a terrifying secret and a difficult decision. Follow Lea on a journey full of truth, whether it's for the better or worse.

He doesn't want to get close to people but why is he letting his guard down for her? Is he making a big mistake by letting her into his heart, into his life? Only a few minutes with her and he decides that it's a risk he's willing to take.
