It's the summer before college, and Katy Collins is headed back to her old hometown for the next three months. It's been four years since she left and a lot has changed. Including Jack Talon, her childhood crush and next door neighbor. Gone is the nerdy kid she used to walk the neighborhood with; in his place is someone much, much different. But regardless of being a foot and a half taller, way cockier, and suddenly a star football player, Jack Talon is still Jack Talon, the troublemaker extraordinaire.

And in a series of unfortunate events, Katy finds herself caught in the midst of one of his schemes, leaving her final summer before she heads off to school spent washing cars and mowing lawns alongside the King of Trouble himself.
