Samantha and Cameron used to be the best of friends when they were kids. Reality suited none of them and that's why they spent every day together, hidden behind the tree in the middle of her garden, dreaming endlessly. However, after her mother's death, Samantha started drifting apart.
Five years later, both Samantha and Cameron are ready to attend their senior year. However, they are not just "not best friends" anymore. Cameron is the ultimate jock while Samantha is more of a seemingly quiet girl who lives her life to the fullest when the sun goes down and they hate each other. Much to his disappointment, though, at the beginning of the year, her father being sick and tired of her disobedience decides to send her to a boarding school in Europe, hoping to get his normal daughter back.
Now, all Cameron has is a car and seventeen days to get his best friend back. Otherwise he will lose her forever.
