The Xetroc Corporation was seen by many as the savior of the human race, throwing caution to the wind and resources at a exponentially fatal crisis. With its efforts providing a safety net to the remaining population, the corporation developed as a governmental organism, rapidly shifting the fulcrum of power, tipping it into science's favour. With only a backbone of humanity remaining, Xetroc needed to test new ways to strengthen and repopulate. A willing candidate, Joshua Wellard, was an able but an unremarkable human. As such he fulfilled the criteria, a scientific John Doe. Just sometimes however, it takes an unremarkable human to achieve remarkable things and he may just find that blind trust in a governing body may be the best and worst mistake of his entire life. Science isn't just fundamental, it's powerful.
