When Annabeth thanks that it is time for her to get a good education, Piper agrees. Of course both of them feel as its only appropriate that they both join Percy, who is in his senior year. Living on their own, out in the open, Piper and Annabeth have to deal with being on guard 24/7 and Percy has to find out someway to lie to his fellow friends about his whereabouts for the last year, as they don't buy his family emergency story.

All the whilst Piper struggles to except the fact that her best friend is dead. Jason is traveling to much to be of any help in her grief and she is starting to second guess her relationship with him.

Somewhere Cold, Leo is stuck with Calsypo, something he isn't complaining about. But Festus broke down and it's cold, very cold.

On the other side of the world, Frank is dealing with the responsibility as praetor and long distance boyfriend, since Hazels dad calls her to him, and he hasn't heard from her in a while.
