It was my first day moving to California with my mom and little sister. My name is Aubrey. I'm 14 and short. My mom bought a house in Compton ugh like we always have to live in the hood. I had to bring my stuff into to my new room....actually it wasn't even a room at all. The people who sell the house still left their stuff there, the walls ...WERENT EVEN WALLS like yeah there walls but it didn't fully connect to the roof. I felt sticky after that airplane ride so I took a shower. As I got in the shower I notice a skateboarding noise. I flung the curtain open and looked outside from the bathroom window and I saw some skaters "ugh why" I whispered to myself and got some shampoo and wash my hair. When I was done I got a towel and  went back in my room. I started brushing my long ombre hair and put on some short jeans shorts, a blue tank top and black converses. I open my door and my second bar door and went outside and still saw the skaters "mm" I thought to myself. I sat down on my brick steps till a skater notice me. I saw him and put my head down. All I could hear was "where you going?" and " hold up bro". I knew he was coming to me. "ayee boo" he said "umm hi" I blushed as I always do when I talk to someone new. He took his finger and put it on my chin to lift my head up. my face felt hot . He smirk and made duck faces as if he wanted to kiss me and chuckled " let me get your number". "but, you don't even know me" I almost sounded angry. "trust me boo, when we text your going to know me soo well" he said with a wink. " I ...mean I guess" I said and gave him my number. "thanks boo" he said and skated away to his friends. I got to admit he's so cute. Then I snapped out of it "oh shit I don't know his name" I sounded worried. He drops his hands that were just held high in victory and looks at me like he's seeing a ghost. The guard pulls harder on my arm and I go flying back into his chest. "Listen here, I don't want to manhandle you, so do as I fucking say. Move." He growls as he pushes me into the crowd of celebrating people. I do what he says and start walking towards the exit, but I look over my shoulder one last time before I'm too far in the crowd to see anything.
