Teen Wolf
[ BOOK THREE ] ❝That war was a disease. She felt the winds of the gathering storm; could feel the malignity of the immoral gluttony moving through her veins.❞ When the fight ends you can afford to relax. That's the worst part. Winner or loser you have again eyes to see around you. Blood, butchered bodies, bodies penetrated by arrows and bullets. You stir inside, your heart tightens, the feeling of loss wells up. The sense of smell is the next thing to revive, adding a new dimension of pain. It's then the emptiness that swallows you and you mourn inside. Carter began to understand darkness: darkness as something solid and real, so much more than a simple absence of light. She felt it touch her skin, questing, moving, exploring; gliding through her mind. It slipped into her lungs, consuming her heart, behind her eyes and into her mouth. And with the darkness came the blurring of the line between good and evil--using the destruction of her past to persuade her over to the winning side. Everyone in the world can be persuaded with a bit of fortune, especially when a supernatural deadpool is issued and everyone Carter knows and cares about are on it - including herself. She has to once again work to keep herself from being merely another price out for grabs. The events in Beacon Hills are taking its toll on her, and this time, she might not be strong enough to fight back. ❝Whatever we did that night, what those things did to me while I was trapped inside, I think it's still happening.❞ [ season four & five ] [ book three of the silent guardian series ] photo creds: marioantonio23

Remaining both physically & mentally intact within the confines of Beacon Hills wasn't always a struggle for Rachel Hale. There was a time when the town had been her home, a place she'd never so much as consider leaving for more than a short vacation. A time when she had a family, an actual home where she could feel safe at all times & a best friend she tell anything to. For awhile, Rachel was starting to believe she could have that again. Her time in London had come to an end as the beginning of junior year neared, and for a whole week, Rachel had believed that maybe, just maybe, she'd be able to continue on with the normalcy she'd had for the past two months. Beacon Hills had supposedly been the epitome of boring for the entire duration of her absence, and Rachel had truly believed it would remain so in her presence. Her brother had moved into a new loft, she was starting junior year with her best friends & no one was trying to kill them- it was everything she could ask for. But as the story goes, all good things must come to an end; especially when Rachel's friends & family are no longer the scariest things lurking in the shadows. New threats are in Beacon Hills & this time, they're a lot more sinister. An alpha pack wants Derek & they're willing to paint the town in the blood of everyone he cares about in order to get him; all while a dark druid is running about, adding to the body count with its ritualistic sacrifices. Innocent people are dying, time is running out & everyone seems to think Rachel holds the key to stopping it- unfortunately, they're forgetting a crucial piece of information. Reflectors are just as breakable as their object counterparts. [3A & 3B - Unspoken sequel] © 2016 // Aly aka @insatiabIe
