Audrey promised herself she wouldn't ever love or be loved. No one could love a girl who is afraid of her own shadow, right? The only two people she is sure she loves are her best friend, Leah, and her little sister, Brentlee. After she tells her parents of her plan to take a year off of school, which results in her being forced to a school in New York City, who will she meet that will turn her already not-so-perfect life upside down?

Jase has lost a lot of people in his life. Everyone he's ever loved had been ripped away just when he thought he was happy. He feels like a monster, so he vowed to never love again. All he wants is to finish out his architectural degree in New York City with his best friend, Kenny. What will happen when Kenny and Jase's relationship is tested and few other people (specifically girls) are thrown into the already testy time?
