17 year old Morrigan Heather's life has been nothing but abnormal so far, from the departure of her father and death of her sister along with living with the governments crazy system, she has hardly had a minute of normality. The "Engraved System" was created by the government to reduce the Earth's risk of overpopulation. Everyone is automatically born with an unique mark, how they did this is still left a mystery and the only other person with a matching mark was your "soulmate" and you were not permitted to love or even kiss anyone else or you could kiss your life goodbye. It has been a law for so long that human's are on the brink of extinction. Mori soon realises that what she originally thought about the world she lived in was completely wrong, that her place in the world was so much more important then she ever imagined and that humans are not the only ones suffering.
