The Story Behind the Slipper
We all know the classic story of a girl who lost her glass slipper running away from her dreams, and racing back to her sad reality of being a peasant maid for her own step-mother and step-sisters, the only family she has left. Yes, this is a story based on none other than the character of Cinderella. However...this rendition of telling the tale is quite different. This quick-read is all written in the form of haikus; a form of poetry that is written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. In this story, you learn about the lives these characters really lived behind the scenes of the happily ever after that we all know to be. You'll discover rich amounts of character development from minor characters and learn major mic-drops about the major characters. I hope you enjoy reading and visualizing the lives of various characters and what they may have been thinking throughout this story! ~After a young girl loses both her parents and is left stranded with her cruel stepmother and mean stepsisters, she finds herself in a horrible environment. Until one day, the prince decided to host a grand ball where every maiden in the land was invited to attend. The both of them meet each other at the royal ball and share the first dance. But before the prince was able to get the name of the maiden, she had to leave as she had to be home before midnight. And in doing so she left behind a glass slipper. The prince then uses this to aid him in his search for the mysterious girl...but will he find her? Disclaimer: Story is in English! In the world of Jezzabelle Jackson, everyone she's known have been nothing but slaves. Just like the rest of the humans she's seen come and go through cells and other places she's been kept chained up. In her life it was always just her and her little sister trying to stick together long enough to survive. Her sister is the only person she was willing to sell herself for in a snap ever since their parents passed. And that's exactly how this story happened between her and the vampire king. Let's just say this book isn't called the vampire kings slave for no reason. Phoenix Diamond, the most powerful vampire who is in need of more slaves in his castle just happens to stop by an auction where a certain loud mouth human slave was arguing with his guards over the fact that they were going to sell her 9 year old sister to some perverted old man vampire in the village by the castle. Seeing how much fight she put in for this little girl, the vampire king saw something different about this crazy girl who was never going to back down from a fight with the guards, a spark ignited in him about this strange human slave that lead him to stand up and personally chose her and her sister to be his slaves in his castle.
