"your eyes..." i mused, my fingers ghosting over the cheek below his single frosty blue iris and my eyes flickering between it and his opposite deep brown eye. "do you have heterochromia... or something?" 

he reached for my hand and pressed it against his cheek, leaning into the touch. "no, i'm blind in my left eye."

i used my other hand to cover his right eye. "can you really not see anything?" 

he smiled. "not a thing," he paused. "but you're still beautiful to me."
