Ally Holmes was an ordinary young teen, living the life of any normal girl. Although her best friend moved away and she has to start eighth grade on her own, she's making the best of it. That is, until her dad gets a call, telling him to move back to England. Now, she has to leave her life in Florida and move back into her father's old place in London. There, her dad goes off to work with the police, and her mom is rarely home because of "business trips." To make matters worse, she knows nothing about the town, and has to make do at a new school. Until one day, she meets the daughter of her dad's old friend. Together, they solve mysteries, get into trouble, and have the times of their lives, with a little romance causing chaos here and there. At first he doesn't want to be there, but eventually finds a reason to stay. Rose has had a good life up until the day of the accident, but now she's got to face loss, and heartbreak, but she's got to learn to get back in the race.
