Lauren was a girl who had things going pretty well for her. She got good grades, played on the girls soccer team at her high school, wasn't too bad at video games, had a few good friends and a (mostly) drama free life.

When her and her best friend Joe graduate, the two decide to take a big and risky step and move out to Denver, Colorado for university, they go through twists and turns and by fate or by chance, they land at The Creature office together.

Things go well for the two. People are nice, they make friends, and it's a fun time for everyone. Then she notices some "strange" things happening. Lunch is being bought for her, people offer her rides to and from work, even small gifts here and there. Some boys seem interested in Lauren and getting her attention.
