Gosto de fazer do meu corpo um caderno. Gosto de fazer da minha pele uma tela, onde eu pinto, desenho, escrevo e descarrego o que eu quiser. Gosto de terminar e ficar olhando, lendo aquilo e me sentindo satisfeito por ter gravado em mim.
   É como se fosse o mar para as pessoas que acreditam que ele leva seus problemas, dores, emoções e tristezas embora.
   O meu mar é a caneta. A praia é o meu braço, pernas e mãos. E meus sentimentos, problemas, dores e tristezas são tudo aquilo que eu escrevo, desenho ou rabisco.
   Desenhar no meu braço é como ver a onda ir e sentir sua dor indo junto.
   Desenhar no meu braço é como ver o sangue escorrer para alguém que se corta.
   Ver a tinta se misturar com a minha pele é como ver meus problemas serem devidamente absorvidos.
   E até já me disseram que tinta faz mal pra pele. Só que tem tanta coisa que me faz mal e ninguém me manda parar de usar, ter, conviver ou cultivar, que eu acho que a tinta é a mais inofensiva delas.All Rights Reserved

[EDIT 1] My work is currently undergoing some revisions. I wrote this 5 years ago, and needless to say, some of the dialogue, scenes, wording, and overall feel is quite childish. Not all of it, but some of it. I've decided to revisit my original first story and make it better. The story is definitely much more mature now, and I think everyone will enjoy it better now that the tone has changed to fit the melancholy nature of my story. Thanks in advance. Thomas gets a chance at redemption when he is offered a seemingly impossible task: plant an idea in someone's mind. If he succeeds, Thomas and his fellow gladers will have succeeded in bringing back a long lost friend. But a dangerous enemy anticipates his every move.

He held onto my arms like I would fall back into insane babbling again if he didn't. I felt so much safer when he was there, I know I was no safer then I was without him but with him there... I didn't feel so alone. He squeezed my upper arms tightly, like he was reassuring me of a pain he thought I was feeling. Or maybe he was reassuring himself. I couldn't tell. He dropped his eyes as he gathered a breath into his lungs, a ghostly silence suddenly taking over the Glade. "Everything here was bad... Until you came up through that box. I am here to protect you, you... You give me a sense of purpose when I didn't have one before" ~ Malaya, the new wailing addition to the Glade. But she's injured, forced to walk on the balls of her feet from a calf injury she is seen as almost a burden to the Gladers. But not to the sweet second in command, showing some sympathy they stuck together. Bark the glade dog entering Malaya's life soon after Minho, they were the perfect team. A living hope dwindled within the childish giggles they shared. Until the trials came. The burden title everyone painted on her head was surely removed. She could run. Alby was bound to make her a runner, but she didn't want to. A fear she didn't understand shook her away from the Maze. So in her effort to avoid Alby and her runner job she seeked refuge within Newts care... Only to fall for him more... But that was it... Falling for him was enough to blind her of fear, she needed to save him. Her world was taken over by her determination to save Newt and her friends, she pushed herself to be a runner. But the further she went into the maze the more she started to remember, the more WICKED began to show there traces within her. But the only way to free her friends... Was to retread those terrifying traces. "I don't want to remember"

I notice him fidgeting with his hands, knowing I'm probably right. We are both standing on the Watch tower, leaning over the railing. I look across the Glade. I study the people and my surroundings. I remember when I first met Newt. Two young kids finding their way out of the Maze. We protected each other at all costs. We still do. Sometimes though, she wonders about what life outside the Maze is like, what their lives could be like. Even though the Glade is the only home Teddy and her fellow Gladers have ever known, she wants to leave. She wants answers. She wants to know the life she can't remember living. They've seemed to have tried everything, and loosing her friends is her worst nightmare. But when the opportunity is open to leave, thanks to Thomas, will they take the chance to get out?
