They say it's rare for werewolves to not be able to shift into wolf. I have a similar problem except, I can't shift into human form. Where I'm from, you start shifting at the age of six on the first full moon. Well, I shifted just like everyone else at that age, but I couldn't shift back! I was stuck as a wolf.
My parents tried everything they could to get me to shift back but it was no use. I couldn't shift into human. But then, we got told that I would finally shift when I meet my mate. He would accept me and help me shift. Oh, if only I knew who that person would be..
But until then, I was stuck living with my parents and my younger siblings. I'm 20 years old and I have to rely on my family to survive. I just want to be normal!

Sequel to Alpha or Beta(Can be read without reading first book): Nine years have passed and Evelyn is now the narrator: I'm the only one. Ralf was the first of us to shift. He said it hurt at first, but now the feeling of going back and forth between werewolf and human is amazing. Rosie said she can feel the change coming soon. The rest of them are changing as well. I remember my mom telling me how mates are supposed to love and protect one another. I also remember her telling me that if my mate truly loved me, then he wouldn't care if I could half shift. There only a handful of us that can half shift and we are looked at, as true monsters that parents tell their kids before they go to bed. Austin loves me, he's seen my other form and he's seen me kill a man in a crazy state. But see that's the down fall of half shifting; if we aren't careful we could go crazy and kill anything and everything. This feeling when the darkness takes over, is hard to describe.
