"No, Seriously!" is an [unofficial] fiction initiative that seeks to provide a forum for those struggling with eating disorders, suicidal thoughts, bullying, depression, or self-harm, and to allow the work of authors who are passionate and focused on these topics to shine within the Wattpad community.
Inspired by the realization that far too often in fiction, and in the real world, such life-changing struggling are not taken seriously, this initiative hopes to give voice to the very real issues teens face today.
What this will include:
Opportunities for Young Adult/New Adult authors to showcase their novels, short stories, poetry, and essays, and to give deeper explanations as to the inspiration behind them. Contests and giveaways for aspiring writers seeking an outlet for the negativity they are going through. Blog installments, posted chapter by chapter, featuring posts that deal with topics concerning self-love, positive outlook, self-confidence, battling depression, overcoming bullies, and more.
The type of fiction "No, Seriously!" features will be...
Accessible. Respectful. International. Meaningful.
Join the #NoSeriously initiative today - and start by taking these struggles, and the people who face them, seriously.
