Many say that time is like a pond. If you throw a pebble into the middle, at first the ripples will be small, but they will soon grow. In my experience, i have found the opposite to be true. Not only time but also one's destiny is like a roaring river. A pebble might make a splash, but it will soon get lost in the rapids. In order to change the flow of time it will take a lot more than a single pebble. You maybe able to change the course of a river and the river may take a different path, but it will always end at the same place, the ocean.
