Wendy Kirkland is a mature yet silly thirteen year old, with a decent family one could say. Jack and Toby, her parents and Erland her annoying brother. Anyways, news came around that their very close family friend Arthur is coming to stay for a week and Wendy is thrilled. That is one day when Arthur suddenly starts pushing her to act like an adult. Though her stress subsides as a boy who could fly shows up at her window.

America never really paid attention to the news, only Good Morning America, of course, but when the flooding and crippling storms started in the south and worked their way to D.C., he got nervous. Bunkers and shelters were built, supplies were stocked, factories and farmers worked around the clock before the Storm could hit them. One might think the United States was prepping for war, and in a way, they were. They had to fight for their lives.
