This is about a 19 year old girl named Jen. Jen lives in a world where everyone is born with kind of a tattoo, but there is only half of it, your soul mate has the other half on the same spot of their body. They are called your half. Everyone's (expect for your other half) is different. Some people have similar halves and get into a relationship, but they will either notice a small difference or things just don't work out and they relieze their half are different. Unfortunately some people never find their other half. Jens half is on her ring finger. It is half of a heart. Jen is almost 20, and is worried that maybe she won't find her other half. But when her family goes on vacation she might change her mind.

In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick.
