The clinking of metal against metal sounded from the front of the store. I poked my head around the door that separated us from the rest of the store. The metal gate separating us from the rest of the mall was sliding down.
Nike never knew an afternoon at the mall would turn into a hostage situation, which includes her. Nor did she suspect to be unconscious in under 1 hour. But sometimes life throws you stuff you can't handle, including a hit to the head, and then tells you to do a backflip.
