Khaleesi is a mermaid of the black lake who has always had the undying curiosity of the school of above her underwater world ever since a tournament that brought the creatures from above to her world, the school out of her reach. Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, her friends Marina, Nimeria, Olenia have also had the curiosity,but do not dare to go above again, afraid of the consequenses that would befall them by the guardians of the lake. Along with the school Khaleesi has been watching a boy with hair as light as the luna, Eyes as grey as the storms who comes by the lake always full with emotions of sadness and loneliness, emotions that she has not experienced. One day a chance for her and her friends to go to the surface comes and she could not be more excited and frightened to what awaits her and her friends... and fate has plans for her and the boy.

A mermaid named Sirène, whose job as a mermaid is to guide those who have died at sea to rest their souls and not be trapped. She typically finds sailors whose ships have sunk, and pirates and convoys alike. Her personality is one of seriousness, and she does not express herself by facial expressions very often. She does sung lovely tunes though, ones of the sea and winds, not ones meant to lure anyone to their doom. She seldom spends time with other merfolk and prefers to be on her own. She is however very curious of the various emotions humans possess and their intensity, since she does not feel these. One day, while Sirène was staying near Pointe de Pen Hir, a dangerous cliffside that plunges right into the ocean. Looking upwards by chance, she saw a human, a man, standing dangerously near the edge of the rocks. The wind blew harshly and she could only watch and wait as he toppled over the edge and feel towards the ocean. Erika Lawrence is a young girl with a knack for swimming underwater without coming up for air for a consecutive amount of time; for her it's normal, to others, not so much.
