Big Mac has been sent by his doctors to recuperate in a seaside town. Applejack had visited the town several years ago, and knowing his shyness, wrote letters of introduction for him to present to the ponies she knew from the town. He visits a certain Mrs Stableton's house and passes the time talking to her niece while he waits for the mare of the house to meet him.
