There was a gash with blood dripping to the ground below me. Every time I moved it felt like fire was burning a hole inside me. Tears were springing up in my eyes at the pain of my wound and the fear of these strange men after me. Then a sudden, burning pain, flew threw my right shoulder, sending me falling to the ground. My breathing was labored. A lake of crimson red was surrounding me as the men in black ran to where I laid. All I thought about was Jay. Where is he? I saw one of the men raise their gun at me. And just before they finished me off, they were knocked off their feet by what looked like...ninjas? Everything happened in a blur. The men in black were being flown everywhere. The blackness started to then wrap itself around me into it's dark hold, and the last thing I saw before I was consumed was four, green, ninja reptilian people standing above me. Then I realized that they were...turtle ninjas. (This is my first TMNT fanfic, so don't judge. And they took the movie off of Netflix, so some parts are not going to be accurate. This is set in the 2014 movie. I would advise for you to read this if you are 13 or older because there are mentions of child abuse, kidnap, mild cursing, and violence. But if you are younger than that and you want to read it, then go ahead, but read at your own risk. Anyways, enjoy the story.) I don't own the movie TMNT or the characters. April O'Neil: So, you wrote a book... Me: A long-ass book. April: A long-ass book! How did it come about? Me: Well, actually, I was just looking for a xreader story with an adult Donnie, where the female character is strong and independent, doesn't need to be rescued all the time, and isn't a giggling schoolgirl. April: And you didn't find anything? Me: Don't get me wrong, April! There are so incredibly great fanfics and xreader stories out there, and I ate them all up! But I needed a new kick and I wanted something epic, dramatic that involved the mystical powers of the turtles and their further developments. April: And then you started writing yourself? Me: The story came about on its own. In my head. And at some point I just had to write it down, otherwise I would have exploded. With the writing, it didn't become a typical xreader story with the "y/n" in it, because that had irritated me. I know that the "y/n" comes out of an inclusive thought, and I think that's good and right. Unfortunately it blocked me, the heroine in my story was too complex and too concrete, and so I gave it up, even if it was no longer a real xreader story. April: And now you're writing a second book? Me: Exactly. The sequel. I'm on it. April: Do you want to give us a little teaser? Me: Well, there's still Leo and his complicated relationship with my heroine. And in the sequel, he finds out that he actually likes rabbits, too. April: Yeeeah? Me: No, no - I don't want to give too much away! April: Am I also on board again?
