A heavy sigh manages to escape my lips. The summer breeze wisps across the top of my head, behind my ears, sending a small chill down my spine. I tilt my head down slowly towards the crisp green grass, my ear twitches slightly in annoyance and a bit of frustration, due to the constant chatter to my right. I glance up, only to see the azure hedgehog at my side, his emerald eyes sparkling as he rambles on about his story, that I have no interest in. I shake my head slightly, peaking upwards. I squint a bit as the sun rays pierce through the gaps in the trees' branches and leaves. Why, of all people, do I let him around me?

Sonic and Shadow were rivals from the moment they met. Although times are different now, Shadow still holds his standings with his relationship with Sonic, although Sonic has Shadow into a close friend of him, even if Shadow disagrees. 

Soon enough, problems arise, causing a gloomy aura to hover above our hero's head. Shadow, however, is able to pull him out of this aura. But what happens when the cause of the aura is because of Shadow? Who will save him now?All Rights Reserved

Sadly, they did not have any chaos emeralds, which would've made the battle easier, shadow was left to be the only one fighting the big problem, Mephiles...while the others were fighting his goons shadow manages to defeat Mephiles but not without a brutal beat down, even for the ultimate life form he had his limits. When the fight was done, he was left there, two semi broken legs, a deep, deep cut in his torso, and cuts between his left arm. The others who are fighting alongside G.U.N have been left with bruises and many scars, but nothing compared to what the seemingly immortal ultimate life form had. After the battle was done and the world was saved shadow was still crippled, Amy was determined to make sure shadow will be perfectly healed and take care of him for as long as she needed to her motherly instincts wouldn't let it happen any other way also her will as well, and maybe a tiny bit of her early teenage crush on shadow. They grew closer to each other after spending a full week of recovery awkward, funny and sentimental moments that occurred during the week they had spent together also finding out what their true feelings are for one another.
