King Andis strived to create a perfect army, an army of men with skin tough as steel and didn't require weapons to battle. In his madness for power, he destroyed anyone who he thought was not worthy or had the power to overthrow him, this led to him ordering every single Sylvin be burned or otherwise murdered, and used his own people for experimentation to create an army of monsters before eventually going mad and disappearing once he started to change.
Valkyr is a Sylvin warrior, and to her knowledge she is the last living Sylvin thanks to her mother sending her to a safe house; after a dream foreseeing the genocide. She seeks to destroy King Andis and his men for killing off her people on her own until she stumbles across Sabina, a nature loving outcast. Sabina convinces her to go back into the society that cast her away, and comes along with her on her journey.
Soon it is discovered that Valkyr is the only known person to have successfully killed some of Andis' failed Members, called Flukes. Making the connection between Valkyr's arrows being made using Sylvin Magic, it becomes clear King Andis enlisted the help of the most powerful Sylvin wizard to create his army, Hervör Altvir. Soon after he had created enough Members of his Clan, Hervör disappeared and King Andis called for the Sylvin Genocide, where anyone of Sylvin race was eliminated.
With this information at her disposal, Valkyr and her friends head out to the neighboring kingdom of Thule to find Hervör's only known apprentice so that Valkyr may learn more about her people, and possibly how to destroy King Andis and his Clan.

Do We Let Them Stand Alone? by JenikaFoust
48 parts Ongoing Mature
Galadriel has seen more war in five years than most would experience in a lifetime. She and her brother, Finrod, commanded the Great War's most elite death squad: the Loriens. Together they completed untold thousands of missions, destroying some of the Enemy's most valuable strongholds and weapons. In the last crucial battle of the War, Finrod was killed by Sauron, an Enemy lieutenant of reputed cruelty on and off the battlefield. Morgoth was killed in the same battle, and the Loriens were sent home. Galadriel and her commandos were expected to re-assimilate with the civilian population. Galadriel has struggled to adapt for months; but with her brother gone and so many of the Enemy soldiers, including Sauron, at large, how can she put down the weapons that have kept her safe for so long? Halbrand finally makes his way north to take refuge in the great city of Lindon, where a chance encounter with a half-elf lord puts him directly into the path of Galadriel. He's done fighting. It's time to atone for his misdeeds. If his identity is exposed, can he make the person who matters most to him understand? The two journey to the Southlands, where an orc father is pursuing a secret of his own. What is Adar hunting? That's a lot of very dramatic questions for a single description. All that cinematic fluff aside, I hope you'll take a look at my original fiction piece, as it has cost me many brain cells and many hours of sleep. #1 in haladriel #11 in ringsofpower #19 in lotr #24 in lordoftherings

"Do you remember calling me 'mate?'" he asked softly, pushing her wild curls away from her face. She blushed deeply, but he wouldn't let her look away. "You heard that?" He nodded with a smile. "It was the first thought she ever shared with me." Skylar pursed her lips. "She likes you very much." "What about you?" he teased gently. "How do you feel about me?" She set her jaw and once again managed to look down her nose at him while staring up at him. "Well... well, I'm rather fond of you, Orion." He let out a relieved laugh and pulled her into his chest again. "What a relief. I was worried it was just me." He nuzzled her temple, inhaling deeply, his dragon fully at peace. The words "I love you" were right on the tip of his tongue, but he knew it was too soon for that. He would have to hold them in just a little while longer. "I'm fond of you, too," he whispered in her ear. <><><><><><><><> Skylar lived her life in fear. Fear of exposure, fear of herself, and fear of her future. The world had long since forgotten the age of dragons, those creatures that had once ruled the skies as gods had long since disappeared after the conclusion of the Great Demon Wars. Dragons became nothing more than a fading legend, a story to tell children at bedtime. But the gods could not let the dragons die, for they were the last defense against the demon armies and the dark god Vekkar. Talia had been born and raised in a world of darkness acting as an agent of Hephatus, goddess of assassins and death. Her goals became muddied, and then lost altogether when she meets the Dwarven Prince. Bromyr had spent the last five years of his life chasing ghosts, desperate to find the lost dragon eggs.
