Winter Hastings hates her name. She hates her family too, but that's a different story. When she's dragged on a family vacation to Santa Monica, CA she thinks that she's in for the worst summer ever. With her family's constant fighting and horrible memories that seem to follow her everywhere she goes, Winter doesn't really think her life will be anything more than a series of unfortunate events.

Zach Phillips has never had to worry about anything a day in his life. He has it all. The looks, the money, the popularity, the girls. Or so everyone seems to think.
