Did you ever dream about wiping your brain of everything you've done? So you wouldn't have to get the embarrassing or horribly sad memories flash at unexpected times just to ruin your mood. Only remember the necessities like walking and running, lessons in class, a book you've read, even maths. Someone found a chemical that can effect any part of the human body you wish it to. And so the government shipped it out, only people that held grudges against the government or people who were perpetually insane thinking aliens were coming, ran.
Now the government holds more control over the world.
At the age of seventeen you memory will be wiped, only the necessities needed will be left.
But you won't remember you family; your mother and father won't remember you either.
Your friends? Who are they? You wouldn't know...
Only the feeling of the memory is needed. The feeling of not being alone.
So the drug is shipped into every building. At night the gas comes through the air vents, air conditions and any other source.
Waking up, you wont remember who you had met yesterday... So wants the point in trying to talk to anyone.
Only the necessities. So you can focus on making this world a better place for generations to come.

Yeah I was in Juvie. Get over it. by moonlightariaturner
48 parts Complete
Carmen is screwed up. She's been in and out of juvie all her life and seriously there's no place she'd rather be. Until she gets released from juvie unexpectedly, given a probation officer, and forced to live with a normal family and go to a normal school. Carmen doesn't even know the definition of normal. Much less family, or school. Separated from the only system she's known and has stayed constant all her life, she finds it hard to adjust to the world outside the concrete building. The structure and rules aren't the same. In juvie, rules were like opinions, people ignored them. But in the real world, supposedly it wasn't socially acceptable to steal cash, or graffiti the front of the school building. Enter the Harrisons, the family who's taking care of her. The matriarch of the family hates her criminal record. Sammy, the seven-year-old, is too clingy, too innocent, and too naive to understand anything. Then there's Jay, the guy she's forced to share a room with. A self-righteous son of a bitch, Jay doesn't understand Carmen and doesn't understand her self destructive way of thinking. Though he's not bothered by her, he's fascinated with her. The family represents the structure and rules that Carmen doesn't, nor wants to, understand. But as Carmin starts to push back at the structure and rules suddenly rushed into her life, it starts to change. Her whole way of living is thrown off balance, what she deems normal isn't. And through a series of events, she starts to spiral out of control, and she doesn't know if someone can pull her up from that. Carmen was given a second chance, but is it a good chance, or is it just another recipe for getting thrown right back to square one, like she always is? Because second chances don't usually get handed out. And she's about to learn what it means to get a second chance. ____

Forget Me Not by ikc_writes

Genevieve Anderson, the girl that had been left behind and forgotten. In a town where everybody knows everybody, meaning that no one goes unnoticed. Nobody just grabs a bag and leaves in the middle of the night, without someone seeing something. Nobody changes identity over night, and is suddenly left with the care of their father in her hands. Forgotten over night, Genevieve changes the person that everyone thought they knew. Gone was the girl that would smile and wave to everyone, was replaced by a girl that had a need for stealing and getting by every day. She had been left with the responsibility of an old ranch that was no longer in operation and the care of her father, who had been to war, and was suffering from additions like there was no tomorrow. Gone was the girl that depended on her big brothers to open the gate, replaced with a girl that worked long hours at the ranch, before she was sneaking out after midnight, to drive whatever cars her brothers had left behind. Except, one day, something happens and everything takes a turn for the worse. "I left you here, for 20 minuets, and you have already let him relapse?! I trusted you, for a second, and you backstabbed me?! I can't believe any of you anymore, because you are made of lies!" Holding on by a string, Genevieve isn't sure how much more she can take, especially when people appear from the past she thought she left behind, when she was 5 years old. Time moves on for a reason, doesn't it? "I told you to forget about it. It's in the past, and nobody has ever asked me to do what you are asking me to do. You are asking me to put away my boots and hat, and stand in front of people in heels and a puffy dress. That's not who I am, if you had stuck around to find out who I really am. 73 parts Complete Mature

While tortured and held captive as a prisoner of war, she became my reason to keep breathing. The force that fueled my will to fight. To survive. When I woke after the rescue to discover the life I thought I was coming home to was but a figment of my imagination, hallucinations brought about by pain, desperation, and isolation... it nearly broke me. Fifteen years since I first lost her, at last, we have a second chance. Holding her in my arms, finally feeling the warmth of her skin as she melts under my touch, is like a dream. She and her two little girls are now as essential to my existence as the air I breathe. However, just as things start falling into place, the universe steps in, threatening to take it all away. I used to think that choosing her cost me everything I'd ever loved, but now I see that in choosing her and her children, I have the chance to reclaim all that I lost. They are my salvation. My true path to redemption. Which is why I'll leave no stone unturned, why I will scorch this world to the ground if that's what it takes to save them. And when I do, I will fight to convince her once and for all they are meant to be mine, just as I was destined to be theirs.
