After the death of her beloved husband and the disappearance of her only child, Beatrice, Rachel is determined to find her daughter and rebuild the bond she had with her last remaining family. In search for her daughter, she is lead to a large vacation house in which her family visited frequently. Inside she reminisced about how Beatrice had been constantly talking about a world through her bedroom mirror, one like the world of Narnia from her favourite book, The Lion the witch and the wardrobe. Soon the family was aware of the seriousness of Michael's illness and soon they quarreled about how Beatrice was becoming a liar and making up stories when she was raised better. As she searched in room a butterfly flew straight through the bedroom mirror. And soon she would find not only her daughter, but new love, battles, incredible experiences and unlikely friends, all in the land beyond the mirror.
