It is the year 2017.

After the griffon rebellion, the birds have adapted to the industrious life of humans, which they refer to as Menacers.  They further themselves from any activity with other species and stick to mass producing their kind. Some species serve as the military forces. Some as architects. Some as doctors. Some as businessbirds. Life is generally peaceful until the territorial war between the falcons and the eagles.

Engel, youngest in the family, is the son of the head of the military and eagles. He never felt up to the task, always a laughingstock in the family and loner in the school. Now that the test awaits, along with a deliberate war heating up to standards like never before, Engel is stuck between being a no-bird loser or making a change to the fight, with only the help of a forgetful falcon grandpa, a schizophrenic crow genius, and a disloyal , self-sufficient sparrow.
