What would you do if you fell in love with the bad boys best friend? When Daisy Reddington finds herself fighting the bad boy and falling for his best friend Derek Howett's golden eyes, mysterious aura and the spell-binding melodies produced from his guitar, she doesn't think of the consequences. She doesn't think that maybe, just maybe, the bad boy will want revenge, in ways scarier than imaginable.

When the unspeakable happens, Daisy and Derek have to run away in attempt to save themselves, with only their music and the people they meet on the way keeping them alive.

Will their love guide them through the rough times, or will the bad boy manage to rip them apart, uncovering dark secrets and threatening lives one step at a time?

And, if Derek is really the one, why does her heart pound and her hands shake every time she sees the boy with sandy hair?

The question is: would you kill for love?

From love triangles and high school proms to dark alleyways and broken hearts, this story will take you - and your emotions - on a wild rollercoaster.

Guardians of Freecaster High #1 "That doesn't make any sense. You were the one who left me. You didn't care anymore." "If I didn't care, Alexis, then why is it I can't touch another girl unless I'm imagining you?" He pushes against me, trapping me against the wall, his minty beer breath skating across my lips. "J-Jace, you don't have t-to do this," I stammer, already losing the fight as my body melts against his. Jace's hand moves to trace his thumb across my bottom lip. "Why do I obsess about kissing you again? Why do memories of holding you still haunt me?" His face pinches in agony. "Why can't I do the right fucking thing and leave you alone?" _______________________________________________ Alexis 'Lexi' Young has four goals; pass her senior year of high school, buy her own wheels, get accepted to culinary school, and forget that her ex-boyfriend ever existed. Seems easy enough, right? Nope! Not when the school across town burns to the ground and all the students are sent to her school. Included in those new students is none other than Jace Hall, Lexi's ex, and his motorcycle riding, street fighting, off the wall friends. As for Jace, he'll forever regret breaking Lexi's heart, but it was either that or put her in the line of danger. Now that she's in arms reach, staying away is a lot harder to do. Especially when everything she does drives him crazy. But being part of the Guardians means trouble is never far behind, and getting close to Lexi again could put a target on her back. She wants to resist old temptations and protect her heart. He wants nothing more than to pull her close and keep her safe. She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights. We've all heard about 'the main character'. The type of person who lives through the most dramatic and improbable situations, and finds the kind of epic romance you only see in works of fiction. Which makes you think about how unrealistic love like that is. I used to think the same thing until I met him. Until I met 'the bad boy' that, as it turns out, wasn't that bad at all, just simply...a boy. A boy with an easy smile, a charming personality and looks so enticing that I couldn't keep my eyes off of him if I tried. A boy whose shoulders were starting to slump with the weight of his past and his family. A boy who believed that the only way to survive was by putting a lock on his heart and chaining it down to a place so deep inside of him that no one could ever reach it again. A boy who, for reasons I'll never comprehend, placed the key inside my palm and didn't shy away when I tried to free his hidden heart from its restraints. A boy who made me the main character of my own story. A story I never want to forget, and which begged to be put on paper. This is that story. ~~~ #1 love triangle 8/26/2019 #1 teen romance 11/4/2019 #1 mystory 7/27/2020 #1 teen drama 9/9/2020 #1 goodgirl 9/12/2020 Cover by @alexandramar1e Contains swearing and mature language.
