Natsumi Uchiha's parents died when she was 4 years old, being an orphan the head family of the Uchiha clan took her in as one of their own. She was extremely close to Itachi and Sasuke and they loved her just as much as she loved them.

When both Sasuke and Natsumi were both 8 years old their beloved Itachi slaughtered the entire Uchiha clan leaving Sasuke and Natsumi as the only survivors. Loosing another family made Natsumi become very cold to everyone except Sasuke and the same thing went for Sasuke.

After the massacre both Sasuke and Natsumi promised each other that they would always help one another and get revenge for the fallen Uchihas.
