Never having left Poughkeepsie, Noelle Jacobsen didn't think she'd ever get to meet her AWOL of a father even before she'll consider the thought of college applications and the crucial end of highschool.

But there she was, at her usual shift in Bermie's, in an unusual face to face encounter with a masked stranger committing what looked like a daylight robbery. Now normally, an employee in that given situation would comply to the demands of the opposite party, likely to hand over the money inside the cash register, yet neither did Jacobsen know the reason as to why she chose to do the unexpected.
