The "Heartsong", was the source of power for the Unicorns.  They grew ignorant and proud causing it to shatter and fail.  Sehai must fight to bring peace to a world in turmoil, her home Erassa.  A Queen of Pegasus, she must  do all she can to help the Unicorns and return their 'Heartsong".   In doing so, the Unicorns power will be restored and Erassa will be once again be at peace..  Time is not on her side, nor are her closest advisors as women are not supposed to rule.  Danger both at home and abroad sends her on a journey that is filled with loss and love. The ten previous provinces of the Empire live without proper lines, but the provincial rulers which it created - their Pillars of Concord - remain in spirit, if not exactly in name, clawing upon the leftovers, waging war and exploiting the terrain, some with the desire to emulate the power of old. Eyren grew up with heroic tales of the brave Rittmark, the reputed knightly order of her northern lands, and the deeds they would perform for people in need. But after years of struggling with training and trials, she came to realize that the stories had been exaggerated, their honor a guise to promote themselves to the disparate lords that rule the provinces, being no better than common mercenaries. Disillusioned by their lies and determined not to be roped in any further, she left and started roaming the continent, wishing to provide what assistance she could to the lost and broken. In this story, as the unicorns return to their homes, and the last unicorn (The Lady Amalthea) returns to her lilac woods, danger lurks on the other end of the Earth. Now, without a master to give him directions, he did not have his eyes set on all unicorns. Knowing of the danger as well, Schmendrick the magician and Molly Grue hurried to find the unicorn in her forest, and take her on yet another journey, in hopes of finding her safety. The road will not be that easy for the unicorn, however, as she will face great challenges along the road to freedom/safety. As she travels the path to the supposedly safe kingdom, the unicorn spends every waking minute afraid, her mind racing, as she knows the Bull is hot on her heels. Will Sunny and her friends be able to help her with her pain? or will they fail to stop her plans of making everypony know the pain she's felt her whole life.
