A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
The Resistance tried to attack the First Order but it failed. Many are dead, many are prisoners and only a few escaped.
Kylo Ren was interrogating all of the prisoners and killing them if they were useless. He killed men, women and children. It didn't matter to him.
I was taken prisoner. I was with the Resistance, hiding the fact that I could use the Force, hiding my past. And then, it got uncovered, by Kylo Ren, when he interrogated me. And somehow, I survived. But whether my survival was a good thing or a bad thing was yet to be known...
Takes place about a year after The Force Awakens (this is an AU).

Star Wars, a series of films that began under George Lucas himself, and are being made under Disney-Lucasfilms productions... This story began as a Captain Rex fan fiction but I have evolved it into something more. Watch as Captain Rex and Jedi padawn Paul Hornen face off against the Empire and First Order, while also meeting legacy characters and protecting those they care about. The year is 5 BBY, roughly the time of the Empire's most powerful years. Captain Rex's mission of rescuing Cody will soon begin, and in doing so he wishes to form a rebellion to bring back the Republic. Hear the events that brought Rex back in action to rescue Cody and Anakin once and for all. Confronting Fear
"When I offer you my hand again, you'll take it." What if Kylo Ren had been right? What if Rey had taken Kylo Ren's hand when he offered it the second time, deciding her best chance at defeating Palpatine and saving the galaxy was with him? But can the two of them overcome their differences and mistrust of each other to accomplish that task or will pride win out? And then there is a certain group of meddling Force Ghosts determined to test them to their fullest. Meanwhile, Finn has a destiny of his own to fulfill chasing visions of his past across the galaxy. Poe buries himself in work as he tries to forget his failures and forge ahead. Leia attempts to cement her legacy and ensure the future of the galaxy. This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version.
