Noah Michael wasn't always famous. He was once a small town boy with big city dreams. After hitting it big with his debut album, he meets Aaron. The med-school drop out, sarcastic, sleep deprived, hot-headed, coffee hating Aaron. The girl that broke his nose. The girl that gave him shelter when he needed it. The girl with that weird horse laugh. The girl with the most beautiful eyes in the world.

The girl that broke his heart--that Aaron.

"Hey pretty boy, that's not your coffee," I snapped at the man sitting in Gary's seat. I hated fetching him coffee; the smell was absolutely repugnant. Plus, Gary got mean when he didn't have coffee and lunch and here this boy was, destroying my happiness with every touch of his lip.

"Is it yours?" he asked, raising a perfectly shaped eyebrow as he took another sip. I cursed myself for skipping the appointment with Laila last week. Self conscious of my not-so-fleek status, I moved my bangs to cover my forehead as I spoke.

"Nope, but take one more sip I'll drop kick you five ways to hell," I snapped, rubbing my eyes when a few strands got in my eyes. I cursed again. Now I smudged my mascara.

"Hm, that might be nice," the man commented with a sly smile. "I mean, you are wearing a skirt and I'm sure the view might be just," he paused for a moment to tilt his head downwards, making his intent clear, "lovely."

And that was how I, Aaron Cross, broke Noah Michael's nose.

It's the last year of high school, and everything has changed . . . ***** After a summer spent in the Philippines, Lara Dela Cruz is eager to start her senior year and, most importantly, reunite with her three besties. But what she did not expect was to show up on the first day of school to all three of her friends now in relationships. Fighting for their attention, catching some new and confusing feelings for long-time frenemy James, and wading through the pressures of post-high-school plans all have Lara reeling. And to make matters worse, Lara's beautiful and untrustworthy cousin conveniently appears and wiggles her way right between her and James' budding relationship. Feeling like a third wheel in more ways than one, Lara must learn to accept that change is inevitable, love is complicated, and being the odd one out is sometimes where inner power is found.
