I manage to utter a meek reply,"maybe."
He dips his head down so slowly it's painful as his hands hold my waist. His lips are a mere millimetre apart from mine when he asks me again.

She froze, unable to move from the fear she felt. It was almost the most frightening moment in her life. The demon was panting heavily as he turned to look at her. He seemed angry. Suddenly, he growled in deep scary voice: "You humans, you lowly beings!"
