I wanna tell you a story.

But truthfully, I have no idea how to tell it or where to even begin. I could go on and start at the moment I met her, but in all honesty, I feel as if that's not where my story actually begins.

I say that this is my story because I believe I was the closest one to everything that had happened that year. And the funny thing is, whenever someone asks me about it, I always find myself filled with pure bliss, sadness, and frustration, all of which, I can now say helped change me. Now don't get me wrong, sometimes I wish I could get rid of the sad and frustrating parts, but then I'm reminded that even if I could, I wouldn't be able to get rid of one emotion without getting rid of the others. Nevertheless, it's the saddest and most frustrating parts of my story that allow me to enjoy the little happy moments even more- it's these parts that make this story, my story, worth telling.

But before I begin, you're gonna need to understand a few things first:

One: If you're hoping for one of those cliché touching-romantic stories- don't. Just. Don't. And if you are, you can just leave.

Two: Everyone is inclined to making mistakes, so don't judge me for the ones I've made.

And

Three: You're gonna need to understand what happens when someone unexpectedly touches your life.

So, if you're expecting this to be one of those cliché love stories, don't.

This is a story about how my major screw-up led me to the best thing that could ever happen to me.
