Veiled Lies and Half-Truths
This story is a Solas x Inquisitor Lavellan fan fiction. It eventually deviates greatly from the actual Dragon Age: Inquisition plot line and focuses more on romance between characters. However, it does contain massive spoilers from all of The Dragon Age games. If you are unfamiliar with the games I provide enough background information and character creation that you will not be lost. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I have enjoyed writing it. I both love and broke for these characters. This book is complete with a little over 250 chapters. However, I have to type and revise it chapter by chapter because most of my writing was done by hand with a bunch of scribbles everywhere. It is a slower build-up to the spice and relationship as I lay out the foundation, but when it starts, it picks up drastically. "I don't know what you'll face before the end," Cullen insisted, his face drawing nearer hers until their foreheads were touching. Her hand was palm-up in his, then, the dark leather of his glove and the moonlight's ivory flush making her fingers look impossibly pale. He placed the lucky coin there, closing her fist around it. "Just humour me." ---- Slow burn romance between Cullen and my femme Lavellan, Lyric. The story is mostly made up of moments between characters, skipping some of the action we are familiar with. Spans the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition, base game only. - 18+ only - Disclaimers: - Content/trigger warnings for minor character injury, blood/gore, and sexual content. - This is a a slow burn, but it is a romance nonetheless. *Not* smut; there are also character pieces for my Inquisitor and some others that are not related to the romance, but it's all part of Lyric's story. - There are time jumps, and some slight canon divergence/original elements, but nothing that impacts the integrity of the story in a major way. - I have only played Inquisition and all associated expansions, but not the earlier games. - This is my interpretation of the story- I take some liberties with minor variations and some situations of my own. - My lore is not perfect, but I'm trying! Fanfic about Cullen and my Human Inquisitor June, set after the events in the game. Gets a bit steamy, may not be appropriate for younger readers. ~*Disclaimer*~ I own nothing but my character. I want to preface this with a warning this was written/is being written with the assumption that the reader has played dragon age origins if you haven't then you really should great game. (Not fully beta read, we die like tamlen) ________________________________________ we follow the story of dalish huntress Athelya Mahariel, human noble Aurthur Cousland, and Alistair Theirin in their journey to save thedas and fight the blight. (All of them having "A" be there first initial was not intended) I DO NOT OWN DRAGON AGE ALL RIGHTS BELONG TO BIOWARE. I only own my oc's Aurthur cousland and Athelya mahariel This is my first time writing, so please, I really need your guy's criticism and tips, so definitely leave a comment. Our hero's are: Aurthur cousland, a warrior who uses a claymore (the sword, imagine if I just gave him a mine for a weapon) Aurthur is a good natured man who tries to solve confrontations without violence and is the unofficial negotiator/trader. An incorrigible joker he's lawful good/ chaotic good to use dnd terms. He hates inequality with a passion. Athelya mahariel is a closed off for a little while but mostly kind dalish hunter she uses a bow and a dagger kukri to be specific (ikr how original), she is the group's leader/provider and she doesn't get humans sometimes, she is neutral good. Alistair is my own opinion on how he acts, and so are the other companions. My goal with this story is to tell the main story and the dlc's of each game who knows I might even be done by the time veilguard comes out (I won't I suck)
