se basa en como una familia pequeña sufre la muerte del ser amado (su madre) quien jugó un papel muy importante entre los cuatro, ellos tenian una pequeña cabaña en los bosques de Oregon ese solía ser el lugar preferido de la mujer, y mientras entran en la etapa de superación josh (el padre) decide llevar a sus dos jovenes hijas ( jess y ken ) a la cabaña y en el camino se topan con cosas y seres que jamás habian visto y que al parecer son pedazos del alma de mary quienes tratan de evitar que su familia llegue a ese lugar pues fue ahi donde ella murió, los forences aseguraron que fue suicidio pero no saben la realidad de lo que pasó..
