Katherine Wilson was having a normal life before one of her friends, Megan, found an old Ouija Board in her attic. Wanting to try it, her four friends; Chase, Megan, Ali, and Julian went to an abandoned farm and played the game. When everyone got freaked out and ran out of the barn, Kat was left by herself with the board. Taking advantage of the situation, the board managed to produce a message that scared Kat to the core. Terrified, she ran out of the barn and they all left. When a small questionable thing happens to Kat, she is reminded of the message and the fact that;
they didn't say goodbye after being done with the game.
Determined to stop anything bad from happening, she gathers a couple of her friends to go back to the barn and finish the game.
But something unexpectable happens when they try saying goodbye, and Kat is left with the horrifying realization that... Maybe the spirits they summoned don't want to go back.
