She can't stop running from the things that goes bump in the night. And if she thinks that's bad, she so happened to catch the eye of Eric Northman. A 1000 year old Viking vampire that has a very strange way on showing he's interested in her. She also meets a very handsome werewolf shifter, named Alcide Herveaux, who has everything to offer including extra unwanted baggage.

Poor Ruby, she doesn't need to choose between the two since her days with the living are coming close to ending...

Ayn is a witch with healing powers. Shapeshifters have killed her parents and the only animals she cannot speak with are wolves. When she graduates from the Teaching Clan and finds out that she has to cross the River and live in the Wolves' Mountains for one year, she is less than amused. Kari, first-born shapeshifter Alpha, almost lost his wolf after the death of his mate. He could rise again and become the pack leader if only he would complete his training ...and find another suitable Luna. When he realizes that his second chance is his mother's guest, a daydreaming stubborn witch from across the River, he is less than amused. The bond may be a strong force, but can a witch walk the Wolves' Way and face the dangers it is paved with? **** "I need to stop..." I sigh, catching her wrist before her fingers reach the back of my neck, and I untangle her arm from me. She lingers on the recliner but now there is a big gap between our bodies. The warmth she left on my skin is quickly dissipating in the spring night. "Fine." Ayn stands and searches my eyes. Her scowl has my wolf whimper in submission and makes me curse my self-imposed hard line. "I am going to need your hoodie," she orders, stretching her hand out to me. "What?" I exclaim, briefly shocked by both the tone and the content of her words. My hands however are already executing her command, unzipping my jacket. "The last time I was able to sleep, I was covered with your hoodie. Your scent is comforting." She states it plainly as if it would be an obvious and broadly known fact. Like the Earth being round. Ash is on a rampage. Her last goal: Killing Eric Northman! After her boyfriend Tom is killed in New York by a handsome looking stranger she makes it her life mission to revenge his death. With the grand revelation she finally finds a clue as to who could have been responsible. No one other than 1000 year old vampire Sheriff Eric Northman. She moves to Bon Temps, a small town near the killers business "Fangtasia" and plots her revenge until one day the tall Wiking himself walks into Merlottes and takes a shine on her. She's thrown off her game and to her disgust, quite fascinated by him herself. Destiny seems to throw those two together repeatedly, which makes it hard for Ashley to resist. She tries her best to stay on course with her mission to Eric Northman, but somehow gets entangled more and more with Bon Temps society and its supernatural problems. When she finally finds some mysterious and unexplainable things going on with herself, she is forced to decide. Who can she trust and most importantly: Who are the guilty ones?
